‘Birmingham and Midland Marine Services’ provide specialist training across a wide range of sectors: from the leisure sector through to industrial, commercial, ‘blue-light’ training.’Private’ leisure candidates benefit from the experience of our commercial instructors and receive additional course content at a cost less expensive than a leisure derived training course. Many of our private clients require a recognised qualification for either insurance purposes or to comply with the regulations set by clubs or other recreational activities. Examples include the Royal Yachting Association Inland Waterways Helmsman Certificate training course and the Royal Life Saving Society National Water Safety Management Programme.Our training portfolio can be found on our website www.midlandmarine.co.uk and details courses from the following National Governing Bodies:Maritime & CoastGuard Agency Outreach Rescue Royal Life Saving Society Royal Yachting Association As approved Canal and River Trust trainers and assessors plus operational support trainers for Search and Rescue we predominantly train clients from the civil engineering, construction, maintenance, rail, inland waterways, pontoon, environmental and utilities sectors with candidates from the emergency services and military in lesser numbers. We run RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman Certificate training courses weekly and RLSS National Water Safety Management Programme training ‘Open Courses’ on a monthly basis. If you are managing groups near the water, volunteer aboard or waters edge or are looking at purchasing / hiring a boat on Inland or Open water then we are able to get you qualified to an appropriate level to help you tick the boxes. Course places for individuals start at around £195.00 hence the listing price. There are many variations on the course fees, detailed on the website. Birmingham and Midland Marine Services are based at Gailey Wharf Training Centre near Stafford and also have a satellite centre at a local Stately Home with 60 acre lake. We hold licences / permissions for various river venues across Staffordshire and North Wales. Bookings are now being taken for the January 2020 to Easter period.
