PRICE REDUCED FOR A QUICK SALEA reliable, comfortable 59’ 6” cruiser-stern narrowboat in London. Built in 1998. Well maintained (see picture of the open hatch!). Ready to live and sail away in. Please contact me on ola.wolek@gmail.com to arrange a viewing. Serious buyers only please. Where is Henley?
Right now, Henley is in London. Henley doesn’t have a permanent mooring. She used to have a home mooring in Alperton, London, for about 8 months (has a home mooring ‘set up’ – can be connected to onshore electricity supply) but was otherwise used on a continuous cruiser license.
History
NB Henley was built in 1998 for Black Prince, the holiday company. Henley was bought by a private owner in 2008 and converted into a liveaboard. Henley was then moored on the Leicester section of the Grand Union canal. We bought Henley in August 2015. She’s comfortable to live in and reliable. She’s a ‘cruiser stern’ narrowboat, which means she’s got a big back deck (great for bike storage). When she was converted, the owner made lots of extra storage space, which is great for a liveaboard. She’s racing green with a cream roof.
Most recent works:
Deck and sides above the waterline were painted (primer + 3 layers of marine paint); the engine bay was de-rusted and painted; stove was painted and re-sealed.
Details:
Headroom: Internal ceiling height: 6’3”
Hull is in good condition. Built to 10mm bottom plate, 6mm on sides and 4mm on the roof – the hull was fabricated to a good standard. There is some denting but it is not of concern to hull strength or watertight integrity.
