Narrowboat Sarah, 42 ft cruiser style built in 1989 by T&G boat buildersLatest survey from September 2018 shows same steal thickness as prior survey from May 2016. This is available for any prospective buyer to see when arranging a visit. A lot of work has been done on the boat both from me and the previous owner.The engine (1.5 BMC) is very reliable and has been rebuilt in June 2016. It was was upgraded in February 2020 with a heat exchanger in order to improve the cooling system. The hull has been blacked regularly in April 2017 and in April 2020. Blacked with 3 coats bottom and sides, and 5 coats at waterline level.Sarah also has a valid safety certificate valid until June 2023.The gas system has been fully re done in June 2018 and worked smoothly since.The electric wiring inside has been replaced in June 2016.A new morso stove and flue( double sleeve chimney) has been fitted September 2019 with a new surround fully tiled and installed according to stove safety regulations.The celling panels have been refitted with new insulation and plywood panels with recessed down lights in June 2016.The bathroom has been rebuilt in 2018 with a fully tiled shower area with extraction fan and bifold shower doors and is painted throughout with the waste pump and plumbing, this has never needed attention since I bought the boat 3 years ago. The whole old bathroom was taken out, the hull was treated with rust converter and red oxide to prevent it from rusting. The kitchen has a gas hob in place, solid oak countertop which has been sanded and oiled regularly. In January 2021 it has been fitted with new blinds for the windows, tiles near the hob and the same tiles have been used around the new butler sink. The customised cupboard under the sink is  made with timber and is decorated with tiles and old pottery fragments. There is storage space under the floor which is good to keep food cool most of the year. Extra storage space can be added in the area under the sink. The water pump has been recently replaced and produce a well pressured flow which means the water temperature doesn’t not change while using the shower. In the living area the floor has been sanded and oiled and has a lovely rustic appearance. Nice new curtains throughout, which are lined with a thermal fabric to help keep warm in the winter and reflect the sun in the summer. All windows also have a 2 mm thick removable vinyl sheet. They attach to the windows with magnetic tape and can be removed in seconds. They have the same effect of double glazed window and pretty much stop any condensation in winter. The sofa has a spacious drawer for storage underneath which pulls out easily with wheels. It can also be converted to a comfortable bed for guests
