Traditionally built 48 ft narrowboat HASTY Hasty is a historic boat with fantastic character and would appeal to anyone who loves older boats. Not for someone who wants washing machines and microwaves etcShe always attracts a lot of attention when cruising with her slow reving engine, styling and interior. Hasty was well known and loved in the Midlands before we brought her up to Yorkshire. BW Registration number 67747Steel hull constructed by Dennis Cooper early 1970s with fit out by Roger Hatchard.Original 2 cylinder water cooled Petter engine sited in traditional engine room . Construction – hull steel is nominally 10mm base , 6mm sides and 4mm cabin plated over oak boards. Hull blacked in dry dock November 2023When I had hull ultrasound tested for own piece of mind – in remarkable condition for its age. 4 berth ( plus additional berth suitable for child) . Our family of 5 plus 2 dogs used the boat over the last 15 years from them being small. Wood burning stove to saloon and boatman’s stove in engine room. Originally small range in fore cabin but was taken out to accommodate another berth. Chimney and collar still there if anybody wished to reinstate one. Fitted galley with 2 ring & oven marine cooker . Original electric fridge – working but probably ready for replacing .
