“Poppy” is a steel cruiser stern style wide beam canal boat.Length: 18.29mBeam: 3.66mMass: 3775kgPoppy was built in 2016 by the DHB Group, Banbury for the beer brand Hoegaarden as a floating bar (the last photograph shows the boat when it was used by Hoegaarden when new). It was subsequently taken to a pub in Abingdon but has had very little use.The engine is a Beta natural aspirated, keel cooled, dry exhaust marine diesel engine. The engine was running but has since run out of fuel.Bilge water is currently pumped out via a submersible pump run by shore power. The engine bay has held rain-water in the past when the bilge pumps were not working. See pictures of surface rust in the engine bay.The boat is a great project which should be fairly simple, it is just not needed in its current location any more.
