Welcome to the auction for my traditional styled (Shetland similar) GRP tender, dingy, rowing, clinker hulled boat. I’ve owned this for several years mooring it locally at Mersea, recently removed from the water. Sorry but the trailer is NOT included (doesn’t fit anyway) and was only borrowed from a friend. History well this craft was originally purpose constructed in GRP to look like a traditional clinker and was hung on the transom of a Maldon barge as a tender, certainly in keeping. Not just pleasant to look at but with its broad beam and shape a good sea keeping boat, good manners easy to row easy to fish or work from etc. In 2018 I replaced the timber running straights/bolts and metal skid edge with new hardwood followed by new Hempel Paint red to the hull, no antifouling, hull very clean. Quality bronze stemhead fitting, solid anchor post and new anchor locker installed 2018.Bronze Row locks and antique oars will be listed separately. 2019 new cover made in blue.Outboard is a Johnson extra long shaft 15hp, unmarked prop with spare, charging point with connections for steering remote control if you want to adapt. It’s been very reliable however been stood some time, so requires servicing/recommissioning/new fuel pump (2017 new impeller) before using next season. Fuel tank (needs painting) included but fuel line gone missing.Internal GRP paint could do with refreshing if it bothers, maybe some wood capping to the seats would be a nice touch.
