This is an ingeniously designed Ash timber framed boat which is very easy to assemble and can be transported in a small car such as the Skoda Yeti or on the roof bars of most cars.The boat always attracts lots of admiring remarks when it is being assembled as it looks so well designed, it is a classic in that respect.The manufacturers state that it is a three person boat, we use it as that, however, i suggest from experience that two is optimum. It can be easily rowed or a small outboard can be fitted which I understand will push it along a quite a pace with one person aboard although we haven’t tried this and have just pottered along on the River avon with two adults and a child taking in the sights and wildlife. The max HP is 3, we use a 2.5hp 4 stroke outboard which is also for sale in another listing, a two stroke may give some advantage as they weigh less.The boat is in overall good used condition, there is a very small patch on the hul which covers a wear mark and not a hole, it has been applied as a precautionary measure. the timber which we belive is Ash could do with sanding and revarnishing although that’s not necessary to enjoy the boat as she is ready to use immediately,We took the boat out this morning on the Upper Avon and she behaved impecably, she tracks very well. This is a fantastic way to get out on to the water this summer if you just want a convenient and low cost boat to see some local waterways, this is a small dinghy with huge potential.The sale is collection only from the Coventry Area, We are happy to show you how the boat is assembled when you collect if required.
