This is a day sailor Express Pirate, designed by Ian Proctor.I have been working on and off for the last 2 years. Unfortunately I do not have the time or the health to finish it.last video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-o37PJNEJo&t=505s )When I bought it it was in a bad state, so I lifted up the deck, and replaced the stringers, and sealed the fibreglass with gel coat etc. While replacing the stringers I build in a fresh water tank for the boat that could be access with an internal tap.I replaced all the structural wood in the boat with composite plastic and marine grade stainless steel. Basically you can submerge this boat for 20 years pull it up and re-sail it there is nothing in the structure that can rot or rust. The boat is ready to go sailing NOW – the exterior is finished, but the interior, which I started also with composite plastic and the idea was to cover it with fibreglass and gel coat to give it a nice finish with some cabin lights. I have also change the look of the boat by replacing the cabin’s windows with port windows that can open – ( these are about a £100 a window there is 4 )The boat is a day sailor, so theoretically you don’t have to keep it in the water and pay fees, you can launch and retrieve in the same day, the boat will eventually sleep 3-4 people.The boat comes with a trailer.The boat has all its fittings, sails, masks etc every thing just need to be rigged.
