1973 Marcon Tomahawk 25 Fin Keel, 5 Berth Sailing Boat 8 Hp Diesel Inboard.

This Tomahawk 25 foot Yacht is a well designed boat with excellent Handling properties, with Two compartments and Plenty of Storage space including Cool Box compartment.The forward compartment includes a Double Berth with under storage- one with a Large Fresh water flexible tank which feeds the Galley sink tap in the Saloon ( 2nd compartment )and Forward Hatch to topside.Also in this compartment is the Heads with a Newly Fitted Jabsco Toilet and a Wet Lockeropposite.The 2nd compartment which is separated by a door comprises of  seating area / single Berth,more storage, Cool box, Saloon Table with folding extension, Galley sink with tap, A two gas burner and Grill with Gimbals, storage lockers under.A Folding Chart Table, Radio and Garmin 230 map GPS and Barometer. Engine housing above which, is the Battery Master switch, engine start panel, combined light switches and fuse unit.Dry powder Fire extinguisher.Either side of the Engine housing are two Quarter Berths, rear of the saloon with storage under.The engine is a Yamnar 8 hp Diesel with own fuel tank. A 2 bladed prop is attached to the prop shaft.Topside :- Forward is a Plastimo roller reefing system, Anchor locker with a 15 kg Bruce Anchor, chainand Line. Two 300 mm cleats for use with Anchor. Two 200 mm mooring cleats.Coach roof sits an Aluminium mast fitted to, running lights, Ariel and Wind vane. Two winch drums and line locks are fitted either side of main Hatch  and all lines lead to cockpit for short handed sailing.Cockpit :-Two 2 speed self tailing winch drums mooring cleats Tiller steering, Engine controls, Battery access under cockpit floor via hatch ( two batteries ) These Do need to be replaced as theyare both Dead.A Stainless steel fuel tank is housed in rear of cockpit, access via a hatch. Two lockers for storage of Gas cylinders ( for cooking ), Fenders, lines, 2nd Anchor, spare fuel oil deck broomand boat hook.Compass and Autohelm Depth Sounder fitted to bulkhead.Work done on this boat are as follows :-New Guard wire rails fitted.  New cleats except for one ( Port side Aft ).  Most of the RunningLines replaced. Two coats of Anti fouling in Navy blue.  Washed and refurbished cockpit canopy( blue ). Replaced Engine Oil and filter.  I Have turned the Engine over using an alternative power supply,  BUT did Not start it because I had No time to set up a Cooling Supply. I did howeverRun the Engine after I bought the boat, about 5 years ago.The Mainsail, Genoa and Spinnaker Aren’t new but look fine.Other pieces of equipment included are, Autohelm Auto pilot, winch handles, Sail Batons, horse-shoe life belt, S/Steel Boarding ladder ( needs to be fitted ). Sail cover ( blue ). Engine Manuel.I Bought this boat about 5 years ago which needed some work doing to it and have done some ofthe work, some of the work done by Professionals, such as the Guard rails, cockpit canopy.  There isn’t much left to be done to get this boat back in the water.The boat would benefit  from a good clean and polish and the woodwork could do with re- varnishing. Unfortunately I am not able to do this myself due to unforeseen circumstances and therefore the reason I am selling her.Note:- I Had already sold this boat, But Unfortunately the sale fell through.  However I did have a lot of interest when I last Auctioned her on eBay so I’m giving it another go, this time with updated information and Photos.She is on Hard Standing in a ‘Working’ boat yard on the River Orwell which I’m paying around£ 320 every six months,all the very best.
