1979 Macwester Rowan Crown sailing boat. We bought ‘Watershed’ to learn on whilst we were doing all our courses and she has proved perfect for the job. Now it is time for us to move up to a larger yacht so reluctantly it is time for ‘Watershed’ to seek a new owner. No reserve as currently negotiating for the new yacht and Watershed has to go.Watershed is a nice solid seaworthy boat with long keel and bilge keels enabling her to take the ground. Engine: Yanmar 1gm10 diesel inboard engine and has recently been fitted with a new oil line and stainless exhaust elbow. 8 gallon approx diesel tank and 1 gallon fuel can.Fitted with engine start battery and a leisure battery which both charge from the alternator circuit and are served by a four way isolation switch. Shore power, 240volts also fitted with extension lead to plug into the shore power. Various 3 pin sockets for when on shore supply.Garmin VHF100i DSC Radio linked to Garmin GPS152H.Auto tiller.NASA log and depth sounder. I suspect they just require replacement bulbs but as we have never wished to sail in the dark it has not been an issue for us. Watershed has been used as a trailer sailer in the past so lowering the mast is not a major task should you wish to sort these lights.Watershed is currently berthed afloat in Whitehaven Marina in the Lake District. The marina has excellent facilities including secure parking, showers, toilets, boat yard and chandlery. It is a beautiful area to sail with lots of local wildlife such as seals, porpoises and a variety of sea birds. The marina is very well protected behind a sea lock and strong walls. Mooring fees paid till end of September. We have met many friendly and helpful people at the marina whilst we have owned Watershed. There is a full race calendar if that is your thing and plenty of people happy to give advice and assistance to new starters like ourselves.
