25ft sailing yacht Dufour 1800 swing keel.
Really well looked after and maintained boat. Purchased in October for £6000
As you can see from the photos the interior is amazing. There are 4 berths, a double in the forward cabin and 2 singles in the saloon. The stove runs on achohol fuel, which is cheap, safe and convenient. There is a lovely removable mahogany table which can be fitted either on deck or below.
The boat is well equipped and has a fully working VHF and a chart plotter. She has a shore power line and a wind generator to keep the battery charged up. The engine is a diesel Yanmar which has been properly maintained and runs reliably. She comes with 2 stands which can be bolted onto the outside of the hull so that she free stands when dried out. The rigging is good and the topping lift has just been replaced. It has been fitted with a new brass prop.
The keel lifting wire has become detached. Otherwise draft is 1.3m or 1m with keel up.
The boat is moored on the Isle of Wight at Shepards and moorings are available here or elsewhere on the island. My son who is a professional boat builder looked at many yachts before he purchased. This boat is tidy and at a much better standard than others in the price range. I am now selling at a bargain price on behalf of my son who has just secured a 2 year contract skippering a race yacht in Malta, so sadly she has to go as I am not a yacht sailor.
