OK.Guys — PLEASE READ this VERY CARFULLY.THIS A PROJECT BOAT It looks worse than it is BUT it will need lots of work, Ideal for those whom like to be in the Garage working on Boats and have a great sense of adventure.I am Listing this on behalf of my Cousin, he’s not well now and this really needs to be gone from his garden. I am not a sailing person so I am listing this as he explained it to me.This a Australian Designed wood 17ft Trailer Sailer that he and a friend made from a kit approx. 25years ago. It is a hardwood framed hull, covered then in Marine Plywood, the covered in a waterproof membrane, then glue/resin covering with a canvas or fibreglass cover over the top, before marine paint. See picture 9 the paints coming off so you can see the covering material. He says its what’s called a Cast hull ?? The small cabin and decking is all marine ply. The hull appears to be totally intact, however there are two holes drilled in the bilge, they never fitted new stainless steel drain plugs after its very last sail. Reason unknown ? because there wasn’t any water in the bilge anyway. With bungs fitted the hull should be watertight. It has a large steel centre board lowered by pulley inside the boat.It has a Proctor 3 guy support Alli Mast and boom with all stainless steel fittings. Mast 21.5ft tall.No Sails. The forward Ply decking and cabin needs totally repainting. The Rear decking and cockpit floor needs total REPLACEMENT. The ply has delaminated and rotted, Big Holes every where. It looks worse than it really is,I’m sure. For 21 years the boats has been stored / cocooned under a number of tarpaulins. The Boat trailer was made by an local Engineering company so no known make -sorry.Single wheels, BMC mini wheels. The tyres are OK, and hold air, I hadn’t pumped them till after I took the photo. The boat has moved around the country in the past few years so the trailer should be roadworthy, but the entire package is still sold as seen.So what have we got,A Boat needing lots of TLC.A Trailer with front winch. and a spare wheelA Brake/Indicator Light boardA Ali Mast and boomA Covering Tarpaulin in good condition The Boat is currently at STORRINGTON in West Sussex, arrangements can be made to view the boat prior to bidding if required and will need to be COLLECTED FROM THAT LOCATIONThe boat sailed the Cornish coastline, the Tamar river and the Thames during her waterborne career. For those of you whom have waded through all the above, will not be phased by the task.Have a bid, and at worst make a sensible offer.Payment by PaypalThanks for looking.
