For sale, Dehler 25 in excellent condition. In same ownership for last ten years, maintained and enhanced during that time. This isn’t a knackered boat that someone is trying to get rid of but an excellent yacht that is ready to sail: polished, antifouled, engine serviced, trailer serviced. We are only selling it because we have bought a new yacht to set up a small business (www.sailpooleharbour.co.uk) and cannot justify owning two yachts. There is a great deal of sadness in putting her up for sale (my youngest especially very unhappy!). This is a fabulous family boat, but now I think time to go to a new family.Currently sitting on my drive in Wareham, Dorset. Mast down the road at the local marina on their mast rack, but easy to re-unite the two!DetailsHull:25 foot lifting keel with a ‘blade’ that winds up/down with a lead screw. The bottom bearings for this were rebuilt last year due to wearing out. The hull is water ballasted to save road-weight. This means that she has an extra floor, and the keel box goes floor to ceiling making her a very strong yacht with plenty more years left in her. German built to a very high quality, 1989 boat-show boat with the tag ‘the worlds most advanced trailer sailer’.Trailer:Purpose built. New bearings and brake cables last year. New sub frame to hold the yacht made about 7/8 years ago. The trailer used to have a launching trolley which inevitably rusted, so we had the new sub-frame fabricated. We have launched beginning and end of the season for the last couple of years. some small surface rust patches but the trailer is sound and road worthy. Weighs in at 2 tonnes, and is 27 feet long overall so needs a 4×4 to trail (we used to have a Kia Sorento).Engine and batteries.Originally came with an outboard but 9 years ago we had a 10 HP Nanni diesel professionally installed which made her more seaworthy (better than an outboard hanging off the back). Three bladed propeller. This engine has been serviced every year. 3 years ago new exhaust elbow fitted. last year the alternator was refurbished and refitted. Battery isolators to the 60 AH start battery (new this year) and 120 AH service battery (new last year).SailsFully battened Jeckells with stack-pack. This sail is approx 13 years old, but with the full battens has held its shape. Serviced last year (re-stitching/cleaning/numbers). Genoa is 15 years old, serviced this year. 100% jib by Jeckells 8 years old, cruising chute purpose made last year. Extra main sail cover. Roller furling.Spray hoodNine years old. Built by Cover-to-cover in Chichester. Cleaned and reproofed every year. Full cockpit canopy with privacy curtains. Sprayhood ‘back’ made last year and used when on mooring. New windows last year.InteriorNew cushions last year. Fridge, table, curtains. Bunks are really wide with space behind the backs to store clothes and bedding. Twin burner Origo meths stove, water tank, sink drains to sea. Sea toilet fitted 5/6 years ago. lots of storage for food and clothes. Storage under port bunk for a dinghy (available – happy to discuss). Lighting. Standing headroom in companionway into sprayhood, rest is approx. 4.5 foot.ElectronicsVHF with DSC, GPS signal from GPS. Clipper duet fitted last year for speed and depth. Fitting for Garmin GPS (available – happy to discuss). Bulkhead compass. MastThe Dehler 25 has inner shrouds and a tabernacle meaning that the mast can be raised when you arrive at the marina. This saves a fortune on mast stepping costs. The pushpit has a support frame and roller to support the mast when trailering. On arrival it takes about 2-3 hours to put the mast up and have her ready to sail. Bilge pumpsManual in cockpit locker and electric near engine bilge.I have lines, fenders, horseshoe buoys, kettle, crockery, pans etc etc etc and would be more than happy to discuss including them in the sale. She is ready to sail. Polished and anti-fouled, could be taken directly from Wareham and sailed. We spent a couple of years when the kids were very little just putting her in for a couple of weeks in the summer to keep costs down, then as they grew put her in all season again. The last few years in Poole Harbour. We did the round-the-island last year and have sailed her in Chichester and in Tollesbury, Essex (Different location each year) bringing her home to our drive for the winter months. The last survey was Oct 2015 for insurance purposes. If you are interested enough to come and view, I will be more than happy to show you that and all the other paperwork, including the original instruction manual!Viewings in evenings and weekends until the school summer holidays – then available more often.
