Exceptionally stable and sailable in heavy weather. Sailed singlehanded, including in gales and heavy weather with no problems. Covered many miles during my ownership from London to Cornwall.Lots of storage – everything aft of the companionway open and accessible from the inside.Layout – Saloon area forward with mahogany table between two berths. Log burner.Aft of the saloon is large galley for the size of boat, gimballed gas cooker with two burners oven and grill. Fresh water pumped by foot. Large mahogany chart table. Pilot berth on starboard side. Heads on aft port side with Jabsco toilet and sink with hand pumped water.Marinised Ford Escort 4 cylinder diesel engine which has been well maintained and runs very smooth. Transmission through CV bearings to prop shaft so engine vibrations are not transmitted to the hull. Aluminium spars, stainless standing rigging.Gaff rigged cutter. Original set of sails i) mainsail with 2 reef points, ii) staysail with 1 reef point iii) no.1 jib iv) no.2 jib v) topsailDavits handing off the transom suitable for a small tender with block and tackles.Bought to live on while at university. Now I am selling her with sadness because I don’t have the time to use.Needs some cosmetic work but nothing that is likely to be challenging – mostly sanding and painting. Last work below the waterline was about 2 years ago so will need fresh antifoul and anodes at some point. Pictures of the interior are from a number of years ago – a fresh coat of paint will be necessary to bring it back but structurally everything is sound. The same is true for the exterior. Iroko capping rail and davits have returned to a natural grey but can be returned to golden wood with a sand and oil/varnish. All wood is dry.Hull is GRP. Hardwood frames and internal structure (I think iroko) Thick marine plywood deck laminated in epoxy fibreglass. Currently lying Queenborough on a swinging mooring. I will need some advanced notice for a viewing since I am several hours away. I no longer have a tender so we will have to use the harbour’s water taxi which runs 9 – 5 during the winter months but is always on standby.Priced to reflect the cosmetic condition and a desire to sell soon. Offers considered.
