There is an deep bilge sump and a large water tank in the keel (not in use). In 2008, the exterior hull was shot blasted and spray coated with Jotamastic 87 before repainting. During this process any part of the hull where thinning was detected was cut out and re-plated. Jotamastic 87 is also used for interior hull protection, except in parts of the bilge where epoxy tar was appliedThe decks and coaming trim were completely removed in 2004-5, and new stainless steel scuppers were fitted throughout. The decks were re-laid with marine ply beneath teak, bedded with Sikaflex. The join to the cabin sides was also underpinned with stainless steel, to minimise contact between wood and the original steelwork. More recently the interior covering boards were removed and new steel frames added to strengthen the cabin support.The teak decks, cockpit seats, coaming, hatches and cabin sides were treated regularly with Semco teak sealer, which maintains the colour in the teak with minimal rubbing down. The roller boom makes reefing very straightforward and infinitely variable, and the main sets very well at all points of reefing. A new mainsail cover was fitted in 2013.The forestay, two backstays and upper shrouds were replaced in 2005, using 6mm 1×19 stainless steel. The four lower shrouds are plastic coated stainless steel. Running rigging is of rope, all in good working condition.There are two bronze winches on the mast for halyards, and two bronze cockpit winches for sheets.The mast was stripped back to bare wood in 2014, some of the seams routed and new strips of wood epoxied in.
