Fearnought is a beautiful Gaff Cutter built by Luke brothers in Hamble in 1897 and designed by Arthur Payne. She is a real piece of yachting history and comes with amazing provenance including articles from Yachting world from 1896 detailing her build!I have owned Fearnought for the last 16 years but have been unable recently to give her the time she needs to complete the work allowing her to get back into the water. She has been dry stored for the last 4 years and as detailed in the photographs is coming away at the hood ends on the starboard bow. The engine is also seized but I have been soaking the piston to try and free it, no luck yet!! Although she needs work she comes complete with all sails, spars, standing and running rigging needed to get her sailing again. I hope that there is someone who can give her the time she needs and feel sad that it will not be me but I must be realistic about the time and money I have available. I would recommend coming and having a look at her for yourself if you are really interested and would prefer a bank transfer on purchase.She is 28ft at waterline and 36ft with bowsprit and 11 foot beam. She draws about 6ft
