Colvic Sailor 26 Mk II – 4/5 berth with sea toilet & galley. 5’10”
standing headroom. Uncompleted project. Similar
in size and space to the Westerly Centaur she makes an ideal small family
cruiser.
Mostly completed project. Needs some love and attention. An ideal lockdown project to get on the water this spring.
Length overall 8.2m – 26’ 9”. Length waterline 6.47m – 21′ 3″. Beam
2.72m – 8′ 11″. Draft 1.07m – 3’ 6”. Displacement 2,722 kg,
Layout: Large double at the bow. Toilet compartment with hanging locker
opposite. Dividing doorway to main cabin. Starboard: Galley with two-burner gas
hob and a single stainless steel sink, chart table and quarter berth. Port side
one long berth. Lockers under berths and behind bulkheads.
Kubota 2-cylinder diesel inboard engine. Three blade fixed pitch bronze
propeller. Stainless steel boarding ladder. Solar panel keeps the 2 batteries
topped up.
Sails: Main 7.2 x 7.7 x 3.2, Genoa 7.3 x 7.2 x 4.7, Jib 7.8 x 6.7 x 3.6,
Storm Jib 5.5 x 6.0 x 2.6, Spinnaker 8.1 x 8.1 x 4.5. Pics available.
20Kg CQR anchor, 40 M chain, electric bilge pump, boarding ladder, NASA
Clipper Wind, Depth and Log. Bulkhead compass. Autohelm 800. Seahorse manual windlass.
Originally moulded in 1986 and delivered for home completion, but owner
died and boat neglected on front drive until 2008. New owner did some basic carpentry
and sailed for 2 years before I purchased her in 2010. Has been worked on
sporadically since on my drive. Interior woodwork done (see pics), battery
system and basic electrics done, needs wiring completing (cabin lights, nav
lights, deck light) and instruments wiring up. Beta Marine engine panel to be
wired in. Jabsco toilet to be plumbed.
Solid, dry boat. No osmosis – boat has not been in the water enough for
that! Needs cosmetics inside and antifouling, and the tasks above completing to
get her on the water.
On my drive in BH25 Barton on Sea. Inspection welcomed.
