Colvic Watson 20ft Motor Sailer – Good Accomodation And Headroom

This is the very popular and solidly built Colvic Watson.  It is the smallest in the range and gives good accomodation with standing headroom.  Its wide beam gives very good sea-keeping characteristics Because of this good accomodation in only 20ft I chose this boat, which I have been renovating and improving,  to use on the French Canals but unfortunately circumstances have changed, I can no longer do this and it has to be sold.The interior has been completely relined and generally renovated.  This was needed as the vessel had not been used for two years and was on hard standing looking a bit sad.   I have fitted a new plastic diesel tank, new plastic water tank with 12 volt submersible pump.  In addition a new Smev sink and burner combination.  The two captains chairs are new and need fitting securely to the cockpit deck New interior LED lights and new wiring for bilge pump, engine compartment blower,  new side navigation lights with new wiring and new wiring for  tricolour light, deck light and steaming light.  The deck has new trackmark and new grabrails in teak.   The engine starting and ignition fully wired, Good anchor and chain and various warps.As it was to be used on the canals I have removed the sea wc and made the space for a portapotty but all the skin fittings are in place if needed to replace itSails are in fair condition.Overall the boat is in fair condition for its age as you can see from the photographs but still needs a few things to be done.Cushions need recovering.small repair to rubbing strakeone cockpit self drain to be fitted.Probably a few smaller details but nothing serious and I am still doing little bits while it is being soldThe Mast and boom in ok condition and has fairly good standing rigging but needs all new running rigging.  As I intended this boat for use on the canals I have not done this but it will be needed if you intend to sail.   The mast has tricolour nav light, windspeed and direction sender but the instruments not fitted. I have them but they are fairly old, also marine radio aerial.  I have the radio (not fitted and not tested)The engine too has not been run for 2 years.  It is a Lister mini twin 12 hp.   It turns over but you must assume it needs full reconditioning, as I did,  It might need less to get it going but I don’t want to mislead in any way.   However I have started this auction at a very low price and even if it needed a full recondition or replacement it’s still good value.  The shaft, prop and bearing are good and it has a very good flexible coupling from the gearbox and vetus exhaust system.I’m sure any new owner will want to make further improvements. This boat was bought by the previous owner for nearly £6,000  (can send original advert if required but can’t enter it as photo).
