This is the first Contest 29 built by Coniplex in 1964. It was afloat and in use until 2019 when the engine seized. A replacement Volvo MD7b engine has been fitted but still needs wiring. A new propeller is included in the sale. The anodised mast has rigging and ropes attached, the boom is wooden. There is a good selection of sails. The boat has 5 berths, a small hob as well as a toilet in a separate compartment. There are some instruments including autohelm and compass. New cockpit hatch covers and grab rails have been made but not fitted. The bad bits.. the boat needs a good coat of paint on the topsides and deck. The interior of the boat was painted before my ownership (even over the varnish work) this is flaking and making the interior look rough. With a little bit of time and love this will be a nice boat for the forthcoming season. A house move is forcing a reluctant sale, This is a light project so is sold as seen. An onsite inspection is welcome and encouraged. The buyer will need to arrange collection .Thank you. There is no reserve and no buy it now price.
