Deep water mooring on River Exe officially rated for a yacht up to 26ft. Near the floating River Exe Cafe and Starcross. Positioned second row of moorings out from the sandbank and straight out from the Bishops Arch for easy parking and launching of a tender. Ideally suited for Starcross and even accessible by the Exeplorer Water Taxi from Exmouth although at the limit of their range – they charge £11 (members) and £13 (non-members) for a return voyage from Exmouth Dock – on the hour. Would suit a rib, speedboat, fishing boat, day boat (eg Drascombe) etc but if a sailing boat would be best suited to a bilge or lifting keel boat which draws less than a meter – we had a Beneteau 21.7, drawing 0.7m on there and it was perfect but we now have a fixed keel 30 footer so it has to go. Absolute lowest depth is 0.9m measured by the council at lowest low water springs but good amount of water there at any other state of the tide.The ground tackle is made up of two ground anchors, heavy ground chain and risor chain. There is a large mooring buoy and pick up buoy. It was serviced last year by the council’s Can Doo mooring vessel and has been regularly maintained over the past decade or so with invoices to show for it (although as of right now 06/05 we can’t locate them – we are selling our house and they have been stuffed somewhere – they are here somewhere and will be found and passed on). In the meantime, purchaser will be emailed and sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery a Bill Of Sale showing you as the rightful owner and a copy of last years Servicing Invoice (shown) as we have that to hand. The historic servicing invoices will be sent on as soon as we have located them.You would own the ground tackle and a licence to be there. The ground is owned by Powderham Estates and you would pay a one-off registration fee of £150 + VAT and an annual fee based on length of your vessel at £10.70 per foot + VAT.Somewhere to plant yourself and enjoy many an idyllic summer evening.Check my 100% positive ebay feedback.
