1986 Dehler Optima 101/34S
This yacht has a good history when it comes to winning races. If you’re after a yacht that is easy to handle that can beat everyone around the cans and offshore, look no further. This yacht won the Royal Escape race overall, was 3rd in class (by 1 second) and 10th overall in the Round the Island Race, 6th in class in the Fastnet Race (having lead overall 100 miles in) and was Sussex yacht club Yacht of the year winning every series entered. Ushaka has been well maintained, updated and cared for taking into account her age, and features a surprisingly spacious and comfortable interior with lots of practical features. A May 2015 survey report is available on request. Whilst she has been optimized for racing (IRC 0.907 2018) we have extensively cruised her as a family, you will not find a better boat that offers the best of both worlds.
