This is Enterprise 21584 built by Lloyd Walker of Leigh-on -Sea. The hull is constructed of marine plywood which has been coated in West System Epoxy from new, therefore eliminating many of the maintenance problems associated with wooden boats. The deck, however was showing some deterioration in the finish, so it has been stripped and re-epoxied with West Epoxy, before being given three coats of quality Internationl Paints Original varnish. This was done last week and the first two photographs were taken this morning following completion of this work. The boat is sitting on a galvanised combi-trailer which is in excellent condition. The mast is by Proctor and there is a recent proctor boom, with a cascade kicker system fitted. There is a suit of excellent, crisp, little used, sails by Speedsails, which are rolled in long bags. There is also an older mainsail which is serviceable for training and cruising. I can’t find the old foresail, but these are easily and cheaply obtained. All sails have the correct numbers applied. The foils are reputed to be Milanes, but I don’t know for sure. Make your own mind up.There are one or two minor scrapes on the hull paint, not serious and the centre board has a couple of chips on the edge which have been filled (not by me) with grey filler. These do not detract from serviceability, but can be seen. The centre board is easy to remove to either paint it or replace the edge. This boat is ready to collect and use immediately. It comes from a reputable builder and has excellent sails. it is capable of being a competitve club racer or just a nice cruising dinghy. It is only for sail because I bought it to compete in the Frostbite winter race series in Whitby Harbour, until I discovered that I didn’t like the cold and I’m probably just about past it for dinghies now! Please come and view it if you have chance, in beautiful Robin Hood’s Bay, on the Yorkshire Coast. If you want it delivered then I will do it for free up to 50 miles, beyond that would be £1.00 per mile.
