Incredibly well designed by the pre eminent competitive sailor of the day – Paul Elvstrom. I’m looking for £8,950 for full sale – serious offers considered. 9.39m length, 3.05m beam.Diamond Sky has had regular attention and maintenance, apart from during lockdown when I couldn’t get to her – she was on the hardstanding for over 2 years at Bonaire Marina on Pollenca Bay in Mallorca, and based at Bonaire for about 10 years before that.Last summer I antifouled her, had her put back in the water, and had the engine serviced and a new electrics control panel fitted. Also had a new depth sounder fitted, and this year I replaced the 4 main stays and a brand new Plastimo 811S genoa furler (aapx £3k total). She is tiller steered, with a GPS-heading based auto helm system which works very well. She is beautifully well balanced and sails like a dream. She’s easy to sail solo, but also has room for family and friends – I’ve used her for both around Mallorca and had a very recent sail/motorsail from Mallorca to Valencia via Ibeza. She has many many years left if maintained properly – like all boats of her age, there will always be something to do, but the recent journey from Mallorca to Valencia showed how she is in great shape and loves to be sailed. The engine is a Sole Mini Diesel 26 engine (Mitsubishi
based) with shaft drive 3-bladed prop. Tech spec below.
The gas cooker and fridge were removed 3 years ago, but space remains for both if you choose to fit new ones. I also removed the very old chart plotter (I prefer to use a tablet with a hand-held GPS as back up).I can probably arrange to meet prospective buyers at the boat (depending on work commitments), and would be happy to answer questions. If my work schedule allows I might be able to deliver the boat depending on to where, and if expenses are covered. Valencia mooring fees are a very reasonable 3000 Euros a year (appx £110/month for half share, £220/month full ownership). Moorings are available at Barcelona (Port de Masnou) and Alicante if these are preferred – Also listed on Yacht Market. See more videos and links here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/juzbn2LdYuMtbrmw7Get her while you can, either share or full ownership.Tech spec:
