This Jeaneau Sunfast 20 is a brilliant day boat with potential for the occasional night aboard. She has a nice big cockpit which can take 4 people in comfort and they could all sleep in the accommodation if they were very good friends as there are 2 single quarter berths and a double berth. The boat is basic but it comes with 3 sails Mainsail, Roller reefed Jib and a asymmetric Spinaker. All in usable condition. Also Included is a Suzuki 5hp outboard which is more than enough to push this yacht along. Down below she is stripped out for lightness the only concession to luxury are cushions on the seats but she could easily be made very cosy indeed. The accommodation is actually light airy roomy and easy to get around. One big advantage of this model of Jeaneau Sunfast 20 is the drop keel so she does dry out on a beach mooring nicely if required to do so. There is also lighting aboard and a battery but this is currently out of use due to a cut cable.The itinerary includes boathook, swimming ladder, sheet winches plough anchor and compass. Within the last 12 months all the standing rigging has been professionally replaced. To the best of my knowledge these boats were built from 1994 so this is the year I’ve used because ebay requires a year of manufacture.She comes on a good braked trailer which I’ve just used to tow her back from Bowness on Windermere to Morecambe with no dramas behind my 2 litre car.She has great sailing ability and is quick safe and nimble. She is fast upwind and points well. Down wind using the assymetric spinnaker she is fast and fun and the assymetric spinnaker is much easier to use than a conventional spinnaker.She can be viewed in Morecambe North Lancashire by arrangement.
