Due to an error in the original listing (listed as a 20013 instead of 2003) I thought it best to end the auction and restart with the correct date of manufacture. After an absolutely amazing summer aboard or Sun Odyssey “Oyster Catcher” we have decided to sell with a view to purchasing a blue water cruiser. We purchased Oyster Catcher just over a year ago and spent the winter tending to the neglect she had suffered in the past, as is often the case with yachts. We replaced all the upholstery. Re-bedded the keel and replaced the keel bolts. Replaced the alternator and carried out an engine service. Fitted a new galley tap, replaced the pressurised water pump and replaced the calorifier electric heating element. W serviced the anchor windlass and winches etc. Replaced the cooker with a new Neptune cooker with push button ignition, 2 hob, oven and separate grill. We made a spray hood for the boat and laundered the sails. We upgraded the nav equipment with the fitting of a raymarine C90W plotter and a Dragonfly plotter at the helm, and a new simrad dsc VHF.We also fitted a 12 / 240V television / dvd.We launched the boat in April this year at Findhorn and sailed her to her berth in Inverness where she has been sailed every week. During the summer we took her through the Caledonian Canal to Fort William then onto Oban, then down to the Crinan Canal, where we transited through and went on to Rothesay, back through the Crinan, round Mull and home again via Oban. She was a pleasure to sail.We have since been on our berth in Inverness marina and sailed weekly in the Moray Firth. She comes with the normal comforts such as 240V shore power in each cabin, a fixed battery charger, and hot and cold pressurised water to the galley, heads, shower and cockpit shower. Webasto heating with vents in each cabin. LED lighting throughout. As well as TV/DVD with omni directional active antenna and JVC stereo. In addition to the equipment listed above Oyster Catcher will come with all utensils, crockery etc, Main sail and Genoa. There is also a 4 man life raft that was new in 2013 however this now requires a service.Note – Oyster catcher is tiller steered. If you know the market you will understand these boats sell for around £35k, however, there is some slight damage to the mast (small crease marks sustained during storage) although not affecting her sailing performance or strength, this is reflected in the price, along with other wear and tear as well as wanting a quick sale, we have set a reserve that means you can grab a real bargain!Any viewing / questions / test sail is welcomed.Berthing fees have been paid in advance until April in Inverness Marina. There is a travel hoist at Inverness Marina that will be able to assist with a survey if required at the purchasers expense.Happy Bidding!
