Macgregor 26 Yacht and TrailerThese boats are fantastic multi-purpose and easily transportable boats. Whether you want to use it in the river as a cruiser or drop it in a lake, reservoir or the sea for a sail, it handles well in all conditions. It comes with two rudders which can be changed easily, the original one and a shorter one specially made for river cruising. It has a swing keel so the bottom is flat when retracted and can be used in very shallow water. The mast raises and lowers easily thanks to the mast raising system which is present. It has a water ballast system which means when empty it is very light when trailering then once filled, in the water it cannot be capsized. Have a search on the internet for the original promotional video for the 26c, they demonstrate its capabilities, including drilling a hole in the bottom and it wont sink due to the foam floatation system! This boat as a Boat Safety Scheme (BSC) certificate with just under 4 years remaining for piece of mind and getting a river licence if you needed it.My Macgregor has the following…Outside- Bimini rear hood / sunshade with cover.- Cushions for the cockpit seats are present and in good condition with the exception of one or two minor repairs and one of them has a broken zip but still very useable and comfortable.- Original mainsail in great condition with bag.- Furler for foresail so it can be pulled out and rolled back in easily.- Additional hank on jib sail, I think this is original, with bag.- Pop top on cabin with the all round cover for those not so sunny days.- Cover for tiller.- 2-stroke 8 HP Suzuki outboard in great condition, pumps water well. Electric or manual start with charging circuit.- 68lb thrust electric outboard, extremely quite with ample power to push the boat along at a good pace and in virtual silence.- Removable auxiliary engine mount. The electric outboard can be used to give two engines available at the same time or this can be removed and the electric or petrol outboard can be used in the main well.- External navigation and mast lights.- Compass.- Solar panel.- Life preserver holder and life preserver.- Boom traveller (upgrade form the original Macgregor fixed point).- Boarding / swim ladder at rear.- There is a hatch at the front of the boat.- Self draining cockpit.- The swing keel rope has been modified from the original so that it runs out to the cockpit which is much more convenient when sailing.- It has also has sail holder / bag which the sail can be caught and stored in on the boom when not in use.- Mast raising system allows the mast to be easily raised and lowered for trailering.Rear locker- Two large batteries which run the electric motor for several hours.- Removable outboard fuel tank.- Solar charge controller and solar panel outside.- Automatic bilge pump.- 4 position battery kill switch, can be set to off, battery 1, battery 2 or both batteries.- Separate kill switch for outboard / electric motor which is also fused.- Diesel heater. There is a diesel heater installed in the rear locker which feeds into the boat to keep it nice and warm on those cold days.Cabin- To the rear is a large queen size bed and a good size double v-berth at the front. The port seat can also be used as a single bed if needed.- VHF radio with antenna on the mast and GPS. I have to say I don’t think the radio works properly, sometimes there is nothing displayed on screen so may need replacing which if you get a like for like would be easy.- New internal touch lights with night light option.- There is a control panel to adjust the heating from the diesel heater.- There is a new 8 switch 12v panel for turning the heating, vhf, lights etc on.- USB and 11v car socket available for power.- Removable carpet for inside and also for the cockpit.- Toilet compartment with recently new chemical toilet.- Manual pump sink.- Twin burner alcohol stove which works great.- Cool box compartment under port seats.- Lots of storage under rear bed and front v-berth.- Hatch at the front which opens to the front deck.- Pop top to give standing room.- Seat and bed cushions are in great condition and washable.TrailerThe trailer is a roller trailer and allows the boat to be launched and recovered without your vehicle getting dangerously into the water! It has a new winch and strap at the front. The trailer is braked and the brakes work well so is fully legal to tow. There is a hitch lock included for security. The trailer is rated at 1500kg, the boat is way under that. There is an attachment at the rear of the trailer which can be put on to house a trailer light board, this can be removed easily for launching. There are removable goal posts for those windy days, you can put them on the sides of the trailer to keep the boat in position on the trailer when launching and recovering.More info…There is a spinnaker pole also included. There is the regular original hatch cover as well as a modified hatch with tinted windows. There is a brand new fold up table for inside. There are original spray dodgers for the sides, doesn’t look like they have had much if any use. There is a cover for the mast, I believe this is also original. There is a large amount of paperwork, receipts and info.It has a short piece of metal which can go in the mast holder when the mast is not attached to the boat to allow the pop top to be held up, useful when on the river.Overall this is a great boat, easy to transport and can be used for all different types of water navigation. It sails well and is very easy to rig and control. Please note, some of the pictures are slightly older, it has a name now rather than a number on the bow.Collection from near Wellingborough or it may be possible for me to deliver, please email for whether this is possible and a quote.Inside:https://youtu.be/0396KeUOezYOutside:https://youtu.be/cE5Zbq25dyc
