I bought this boat in 1997 with a Yamaha 50hp 4
stroke petrol engine including tilt/trim. It was 3 months old at the time and has many
special options including 36in Captains steering wheel, boarding ladder/cabin
ladder, swim ladder. I have used it as a family sailboat since then, mainly on Lake
Windermere, it comes with a king bed under the cockpit, double bed/dining
table/chart table, twin bed in the bow so sleeps 6 people, removable
stove-never used. Has a under seat large insulated cold box. It also has
a Stainless Steel solar panel interior/exterior auto fan than keeps the interior free of
dampness/smells. It also has a cassette toilet which is easily removable from inside the private bathroom with washbasin amidships.
It is a power sailor capable of 25mph when the swing keel is lifted, for
sailing I have had 9 knots out of her on the tack, she is designed to be unsinkable having a triple hull
including foam buoyancy. When you want to sail you drop the keel, open the
water ballast system adding 1200 lbs of water ballast between the keel and the
keel liner, the yacht lowers 4 inches into the water and becomes very
stable. The dual rudders make steering very easy when racing, when you want to return to cruising under power the water ballast is self draining at 5 knots and takes 8mins to dump that ballast. It has been upgraded with an optional roller furler system, and the mast can easily be raised y one person by hand or using the mast raising puller system that is included in the boat
A few years ago I had 2 x strokes so mothballed the boat and now it is time to
go to new owners hence the low price.
In 2023 I fitted 2 x new road tyres 205/75R14,
