‘Maccaboy’ Macwester 26This is a mk1 Macwester 26 built in 1966. It is a solidly built bilge keeler with a 3’ draft perfect for sailing around the east coast and exploring creeks and rivers. It can take the ground well. A very comfortable sea going yacht, it may not win any races but it will get you where you’re going safely and in comfort whatever the sea state. These boats are pretty much bomb proof being built of very thick fibreglass. She is afloat at Canvey Island ready to go. We are selling due to a new family member and not having the time to enjoy the sailing. It has a Volvo Penta 2001 10hp inboard diesel engine which has been completely reconditioned with less than 1hr running. Works carried out include new oversized piston, rebored cylinder, new bearings, new starter motor, reconditioned fuel injector and injector pump. It has in-mast roller reefing mainsail and roller reefing foresail with lines led back to the cockpit. There is a spray hood, dodgers, fenders, mooring ropes, anchor etc. This is a 4 berth boat with 2 in the v berth in the fore cabin and 2 singles in the main cabin. There is a large separate heads with a Jabasco toilet. In the galley is a sink with electric pumped cold water and a 2 ring LPG hob/cooker with a large gas cylinder in rear locker. Electrics include a new switch panel with battery monitors and USB/12v socket, LED internal lights, 240v shore power, depth and speed log, VHF radio (not fitted), 2 bilge pumps, 2 batteries – 1 engine starter and 1 leisure.
