Mcnulty Kielder 16 “Osprey”“Osprey” is build No. One. She was built in 1999 in GRP, by McNulty marine on the river Tyne, she has a strong double skinned very buoyant hull. Based on a classic clinker built river Tyne working boat. She is Gaff rigged with a steel centreplate.Dimensions:Length 4.88m (16ft)Beam 1.74mDraft 0.25/1.07m (Keel and rudder up / down) Weight 350kgSail area 13.50 m2“Osprey” has only been used in fresh water, latterly on Oulton broad. She was kept afloat all summer months on Oulton broad for the last three years. She can be sailed with a crew / family or single handed. She handles predictably and is very stable. The large comfortable cockpit makes her easy to work. The steel centreplate is easily raised or lowered.The mast is stepped in a tabernackle making it easy raise and lower when rigging and negotiating river bridges. She could be used as a camping dinghy, the plywood cockpit floor being roomy enough for sleeping, all you would need is a boom tent.She comes with:• Gaff Mainsail.• Working Jib. • Small Jib.• Storm Jib (never used!!)• Oars, Rowlocks. • Fenders. • Mooring lines.• Manual bilge pump. • Mainsail cover.• Jib cover.• Fully fitted winter cover.• Anchor and chain/ line.• Mooring lines.• Boat hook.• Outboard engine – Electric. She will be antifouled ready for 2023.She comes with a galvanised road trailer which is in good condition and has never been in salt water and has always been looked after. The trailer has a winch and spare wheel. New wheel bearings were fitted in 2021 and tyres are in good order. Lighting board also included. Straps included.
