Seahorse was removed from the water just over two years ago due to illness, since then she has been stored in a secure, hard standing yard with good access, the spars have been stored indoors and the cushions, curtains, sails, spray hood etc. stored in my spare bedroom, she has had two coats of anti fouling and the none slip re coated.Seahorse is the Rowan Crown big sister of the Mc Wester, she is a solid, go anywhere yacht with a full length keel and twin bilge plates meaning she can dry out comfortably, the hull and cabin structure is finished in its original gel coat. she gives the impression of a craft larger than her 24ft, she is very stable under sail or motor and will happily motor in reverse, something many yachts are not happy about, her side decks are a good width and finished in none slip as is her fore deck and cabin roofs, she has stainless pulpit and push pit, and stanchions with two rows of stainless guard wire give good protection, there are hardwood handles to the cabin roofs, the cockpit is a good size and deep. the cockpit has a removable door to the rear that makes boarding a dinghy easy and is ideal if moored stern to, their is also a mounting for an outboard. The heavy weight mast and boom are finished in gold anodising and in very good condition, there is roller reefing on the fore stay and the main can be slab or roller reefed, there is a radar reflector mounted on the mast. The stainless standing rigging was replaced in 2005 and with its twin rear stay, twin lower shrouds and inner fore stay makes a very secure rig, the running rigging is in good condition. she has 4 winches in good condition. There is a Cqr anchor to 8mm galvanised chain, the anchor is stored in deck fittings. And the chain in a bow locker via a chain pipe. The roller reefing Genoa and main sail are in good condition, there is a acrylic canvas spray hood, main sail cover and spray dodgers for the cockpit. Internally from the front-Chain locker with hatch for accessTwo single bunks or a large double when the infill and cushion are fitted, with storage under the bunks and the water tank forward.Two hanging lockers (one each side) To port is the galley with two burner lpg hob and grill, a sink with water tap and assorted cupboards under.To starboard is a heads compartment with a S/L sea toilet. The main cabin has good length seat bunks each side with storage under and higher storage pockets side cushions, there are opening ports over the galley and in the heads compartment plus fixed waterproof vents in the cabin roof, the roof throughout is finished with padded headlining and the main cabin has good standing headroom, all cushions, curtains etc. are in good condition.Companion way steps lead to the cockpit plus a sliding hatch with a garageEngine access is by removing the companion way steps or by a large hatch in the cockpit floor giving excellent access. The 12 hp dolphin engine is original but was rebuilt 2007/ 2008 winter and was running perfectly when the boat was removed from the water but will probably need a service. It powers a single shaft and two blade propeller via flexible couplings.
