Moody 31 Mk Ll

The Moody 31 Mkll is a quality family sailing cruiser with good
performance and accommodation. This twin keel example is well equipped with a

Construction

Built
by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd in 1987 to a design by Bill Dixon. White GRP
hull with style stripes. Hull epoxied. White GRP superstructure with light grey
moulded-in non-slip to decks and cockpit. Cast iron twin keels. Coppercoat antifouling.Tiller
steering to skeg hung rudder. Tiller extension arm. Alloy toe rails. Teak coachroof grab rails.
Self-draining cockpit and anchor well.

 

Engine

Located abaft the companionway. Volvo Penta 2003, three
cylinder, 28hp diesel engine. Electric start. Fresh water cooled via heat
exchanger.

Shaft drive to three bladed fixed propeller. Rope cutter (new 2017). Cutless bearing renewed 2017.

Maximum speed 7 knots. Cruising speed 6 knots.

running rigging (2019). All lines lead to cockpit via individual cluthes. Slab reefing to mainsail with sail cover (2018). Harken headsail furling system
(2015), Mainsail – Suffolk Sails, Genoa – (2012) with luff flattener (UV sacrificial strip due to be replaced). Cruising chute with snuffer. All sails crisp and in good order.
