From 2004 until purchased by the current owners in 2008 the boat was stored under cover at Hillyards Boatyard in Littlehampton (named Camus) Prior to this it was owned by a syndicate of 3 pilots (named Saturday Slow) and raced. It was purchased in 2008 and moved to Iron Wharf boatyard near Faversham in Kent where she can be viewed. A great deal of work has been completed including the topsides and deck re-painted and the underwater section primed and prepared for anti-fouling. A new stern shaft and propeller has been fitted and the original Renault engine reinstalled. 2. However, the current owners have other commitments and this able yacht has been laid up over the last 2 years and will deteriorate if left, hence low start value / NO RESERVE. A SURVEY was undertaken in March 2018 which has highlighted areas of soft wood on the starboard after section, side of hull above waterline and deck. The rest of boat is mostly good. Note, the survey belongs to the owners and although it is a guide, we recommend having any boat surveyed yourself independently before purchase. Re the issue raised, this needs repairing using plywood, epoxy and replacement of stringers etc where necessary. The fault appears to be a leaking toe rail and fixings along the deck. To properly repair the vessel the toe rail and deck fixings would be best replaced / updated. Do not buy or bid unless you are able to undertake these kind of repairs and the yacht should not be launched until this has been completed. She is in a yard where DIY is encouraged and much help on hand. Electricity, crane and water available.3. Whilst the current engine has been run in the boat in 2016, it is likely to need further work. This is an old engine and underpowered therefore suggest it needs REPLACING. 4. As stated above the standing rigging was renewed and the running rigging partly replaced a number of years ago. The mast was stepped a few years ago and could now do with checking and the running rigging replaced where necessary. The yacht represents a project, which could be achieved in a short time resulting in a performance 30ft yacht with good accommodation. A survey from 2004 and 2018 is available for viewing if required. Please email for a copy / additional photos. 5. The yacht is sold as seen with no guarantees. We would suggest viewing her at Faversham in Kent which is best done Sunday 3 June 2018. Must go so low start quick auction! The buyer is responsible for fees from the 1st July 2018. Payment via paypal on completion of auction please. This is a low starting price as we want her to go to a good home but no dreamers please, some skilled work is required to make her a safe going concern. Thanks for looking.
