Here we have a very much loved family yacht – a 1971 Neptune 32. This boat has a ketch rig, in-mast furling and is complete with a single diesel Perkins 4107, 36hp with an 80 litre fuel tank.
This boat has been owned by the vendors since 1994. They are now of an age where they are ready to stop sailing and the boat has recently been lifted out of the water. The boat is all-original and is ready for an update in some areas. The headroom inside is incredible – and the interior is extremely light and spacious.
This boat has a good-sized, deep cockpit that has proved ideal and safe for children and grand children on board. The accommodation is set out as follows:

1 single, 1 convertible double and 2 occasional berths in the main cabin. Another single quarter berth goes aft.
The heads are separate and compact with a manual toilet
Avocet was most recently out of the water over the 2016/2017 winter period. She has beaching legs that bolt onto the hull for winter storage ashore. The anti fouling has been redone every year – most recently in February 2017 and the engine, although original, has been looked after professionally by a mechanic every year. The engine was serviced this April is now winterised (October 2017).
Electronics: Avocet is fitted with an Echo Sounder, radio, auto helm equipment, Garmin GPS, and electronic compass (in addition to magnetic compass)
