This was the manufacturers Boat Show model and Winner of 3 Peaks race with a rating of 0.8027, so a great
cruiser/racer with bullet-proof hull layup of a standard unknown
today.Currently ashore at Fairlie Quay Marina,
Largs, Scotland (30 mins Glasgow airport). While out of the water the keel has been shot blasted and
epoxy coated. The hull and rudder have been stripped and have had
International Gelshield system applied. The hull and keel has then
had three coats of International Primocon. Then newly anti-fouled. There are new anodes onboard ready to be fitted. Folding prop.The top sides
have been sanded and primed then painted with Epifanes
Mono-urethane.A new curved forepeak window has been fitted. The
headlining in the forecabin needs tidying and re-fitting.The boat does require some cosmetic work, -mostly replacing the anti-slip treadmaster. The domestic batteries need renewing and another to start the motor. Recent engine service in August, so boat ready to go back in the water. Videos of engine running available.The standing rigging was replaced in 2010. Tuff luff forestay but also available is a rotostay should you prefer. Boat now with mast lifted and rigging checked by rigger.The boat
sails well and has a safe deep cockpit. Interior
comprises of the standard Nicholson layout with a vee berth for two
forward (with infill cushion to make a double) and a small double in
the main cabin (with infill cushion and lee cloth). There is also a pilot berth and storage for which there is no cushion, but this could be
reinstated. LPG cooker with grill and built in coolbox and
sink in the galley to port and chart table to starboard.
