Pedro 17’
Sailing/Trailer Sailer Boat on excellent galvanised road trailer.

Based on the Seahawk 17 designed by John A Bennett, and
built by F A M E and Florence Marine International, Teignmouth, during the mid
1970’s (see below).

An un-finished project, with triple
fixed keel ‘shallow draft’ design, with great condition, spars, rigging and
sails (main & jib) with main/jib sheets. Comes on a high quality galvanised
road trailer in excellent condition which has just had fitted to the Alko hubs,
new wheels and tyres including a spare, a new jockey wheel and the winch overhauled
for continued use as a ‘trailer sailer’ as required.

A clean and tidy bare boat
example which needs an amount of TLC including cleaning, painting/varnishing etc as
required, wiring and minor repairs and fully fitting/furnishing to finish.

Robustly constructed in
‘GRP’,   this 2 berth/small family
sailing boat/motor sailor has an open and spacious cockpit, and a good size
cabin for long days sailing and weekend trips. The boat is supplied with it’s
original equipment of good quality spars (mast & boom), including a set of new
replacement sails which are now approximately 10 years old though not having had any use
in that time. Recently cleaned/tidied a bit and test rigged etc and is now essentially ready
to be set up and sailed after finishing/furnishing as required.

Originally purchased several
years ago as a ‘finishing off’ project by my late father, the boat has been
sitting stored in our yard mostly covered and has also been in and out of the
workshop a couple of times so that work could get done on it. Regrettably some
health issues and other projects and have ended up taking priority so the
completing/finishing work has just never got done, so I’ve decided to sell it
as an ongoing unfinished project and as an excellent base as an introductory
and robust vessel to be used as a weekend type passage maker, which can also be
easily towed to, launched and recovered onto the trailer as required.

Any inspection/review etc welcome
as required at a ‘convenient time to suit’.

(From a bit of internet research
I think the year of manufacture is around the late 70’s but I’m not absolutely
sure for this actual boat, though the various literature I’ve seen suggests
that they were building them from about 1975 onwards until the late 70’s. see
–  https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/pedro-17 for further reference and a
bit of history etc).
