I am listing “Freedom” on behalf of Thurrock Yacht Club.She has been at the club for a number of years, but has now been abandoned by her owner who purchased her earlier this year. The club is selling her to recover outstanding costs. A bill of sale will be issued.She is a David Thomas designed Quarter Tonner, fitted out for club racing, and she has competed very successfully at our club on a white sail rating of 1067.She is currently afloat on a swinging mooring at Grays. Viewing may be able to be arranged with prior notice. If the buyer wishes to remove her by land they will need to arrange their own crane and transport. she will weigh in at around 3000kg.The sale includes the boat, engine, and whatever sails are on board. We believe she is equipped with a main, and hank on foresails (genoa and jib) but as we are limited in our access to the boat we cannot guarantee these, nor their current condition. We have been unable to test the engine.This boat appears to be in good condition and ready to race next season, however as we cannot vouchsafe her condition we believe a starting price of £200 leaves a new owner plenty of scope to make improvements over the winter. Or snap her up quickly for the buy it now price of £900.She is a thoroughbred performer and therefore more suitable for an experienced boat owner.IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the conditions surrounding this sale, the boat must be removed from the club within one month of purchase, and insurance from the point of purchase is the owners responsibility.
