This River Cruiser Class Broads yacht is believed to be one of only two historical hard-chine yachts still sailing on the Norfolk Broads. There is some debate as to her builder and age, with views ranging from 1912 to the 1930s, and with possible builders cited as Ernest Collins, Walter Woods or Brook Marine. She has undergone a ‘rolling restoration’ over the past 6 years and is now understood to be presented in good sound condition throughout. Her owner states “Freedom has a remarkably spacious interior and easily handled rig. She has given me enormous pleasure in the years I have owned her. The wide side decks coupled with the hard-chine stability lend a feeling of safety and the large cockpit is comfortable for 4-5 people.”
