Regrettably I think I need to sell my loved trimaran ‘Keesha’. I sail her all the time, she is solid, fast and easy to sail solo. She is double planked 8mm mahogany hull with plywood outriggers and 4x laminated dugless fir beams per hull. Built 40yrs ago for transatlantic inmind she is overengineered, particularly shown on the rigging which is simple and very strong. I have used her hard, sailing from Cornwall to Portsmouth and smashing around the IOW, she really needs some cosmetics and wood work in around the cockpit which has has taken a bit of a bashing, both jib winches need repairing, beating around St Catherine’s they finally gave up.Other details include,I have all the original plans and letters between the boatbuilder and the designer.Needs a good clean and painting.Has an 8hp high thrust outboard with service history, starts first pull and is fantastic.Sails used but good condition, main, 2x genoas and a storm tri sail.Mooring included £150 approx to harbour master.Dinghy to row out included.Basic electrics installed, generator included. Can charger phone battery and interior lights, depth sounder and log work. Large solar panel works but needs a control box, if I find my old one I will include it.Chainplates and rigging are amazingly tough.I repaired a small piece of rot below the cabin steps and bulkhead and a bit in cockpit. A small old repair 15 years ago in bottom of hull where she dried out on a stake. Very dry boat, hardly ever use bilge pump unless days of heavy rain. Basic galley and heads all work, but fw tap not connected, I use bottled water.Daggerboards in each hull.To summarise, a well thought out and built trimaran that has been used regularly, she really now needs tlc, mostly cosmetics and bringing things upto scratch. I selling her as I don’t really have the time to work on her, plus I like sailing not doing all of the maintenance work. It’s really important she goes to a good home.
