**FOR SALE**“Schelde” is well maintained 30 foot long steel Dutch Scheldeschouw sailing boat which has the advantages of both a yacht and a barge without the disadvantages.This boat combines the comfort and space of a live aboard with the excitement of a yacht!The crew now being 62, 72 and 82, have with great reluctance decided to face reality and sell.Built in Holland in 1971 from steel, she is approximately 30 feet long, 11 1/2 feet wide and the draught is 4 feet, the mast stands at approximately 40 feet when raised and 7 feet when lowered.The boat was lifted out and antifouled at Easter last year (2020).A new Beta 26 engine was fitted this year, it has had approximately 30 hours Running time and is overseen by DB Marine.Access to the bilges and engine is very good and the boat was rewired when it arrived from Holland in 2018.A new Furlex system was fitted by Evolution Rigging, Suffolk yacht harbour in August 2020 and the sails are in good condition.Standard Bermuda rigging with lazy jacks to aid in lowering the main sail, self tailing winches.The boat has a box keel.The tiller is robust with a lightweight weather helm when underway.Fitted VHF radio.Up to date gas certificate for the locker that holds 2 gas bottles (included).The boat can comfortably sleep 4 people, having 2 very roomy single berths in the fore cabin with storage drawers below and 2 single berths in the main saloon area.The boat is fitted with a Dutch Heatpol diesel powered onboard heating system which is very efficient.
