Access to the Yanmar 2gm 18 diesel is good. A small ships wheel is fitted on the main bulkhead – easily removed as described above if necessary.Owners remarks;Jestabel, has for the most part of her life been well looked after and maintained – even now all she really needs is routine maintenance and a repaint, followed by an interior upgrade as she is largely original as her builder Reg Patten of Sea King Yachts intended. Unfortunately she suffered a slight mis-hap one day when she slipped down an inclined mudberth and strained one of her bilge keels which in turn split one of the bottom planks. This can be repaired by a competent carpenter, or more simply by way of a copper tingle copper fastened and Sikaflex sealed. I did this many years ago with my fathers Dauntless – an almost identical boat, following sitting on a stake of the notorious Maplin sands. Sikaflex was unknown then – but the repair lasted well.As is, she can be quite comfortably lived on board whilst undertaking any work or modifications on shore here at Bridgemarsh Marina and when completed launched to cruise or berth on one of our pontoons for the duration – tempory or permanent, your choice. Ashore currently costs 42p per foot, per year + VAT – or afloat for 58p per foot per year + VAT. Toilets and showers are available, as is water and electricity.Pricewise, this is a steal given her engine and all round condition, but she is a wooden boat and therefore will require the love and attention all wooden boats require – but Jestabel has many years of happy sailing left in her if you are the correct new owner. As this is advertised elsewhere, we must retain the right to remove her from this listing in the event she is sold. Should you wish to view, she is located at CM3 6DQ on the banks of the river Crouch, in Essex – please contact myself for an appointment via normal ebay channels, but please don’t bid, or press buy it now unless you intend completing the purchase.Good luck and thanks you for your interest.
