Seal 22 auxiliary lifting keel sailing cruiser with all fees paid until April next year!A great starter sail boat for all the family, safe and well mannered with a large cockpit, an outboard mounted inboard for easy maintenance and access, with a choice of engines, either an Evinrude 6hp twin cylinder 2 stroke, or a newer 4hp single cylinder Tohatsu 4 stroke. Either being most suitable for pushing her along at about 5 knots. When not mounted on the outboard bracket, the engine stows in the huge aft locker, along with the fuel tank. These boats were almost revolutionary when built as they have a companionway that opens out at the forward cockpit end to reveal her most spacious interior. There are 6 movable wooden panels that are easily removed when the weather is fine, and when the weather is not so kind then there is the fold down sprayhood that totally protects the cabin and its occupants when required – in addition to protecting the crew in the cockpit from any flying spray or rain. A ‘Houdini’, type hatch is fitted in her deck above the chemical toilet. In the cabin there are no fewer than 6 berths – great if you have children! From forward there is a two berth cabin that with an infill cushion readily converts to a cosy double arrangement. Beneath the bed and this removable infill cushion is a caravan type Portaloo. A curtain provides privacy from the main area. Beneath the berths are large stowage areas. In the main cabin there are two full length berths that run under the cockpit sides, making a very friendly head to toe berth either side. The galley is on the centreline fixed to the drop down keel box. This consists of a 2 burner hob with grill, mounted in gimbals. The plastic bowl has its own designed stowage beneath a berth cushion. There are lockers everywhere including beneath all the berths. Lighting is from 2 x led lights in the cabin ceiling powered from a new 12v high capacity leisure battery mounted beneath one of the berths Portside, this is charged from the engine. The saloon table has 2 drop down leaves and is fixed to the centreplate box, where there is also a hand operated bilge pump attached. Rigging wise she has a Proctor aluminium mast, boom and spinnaker boom with whisker pole. 3 sails including a spinnaker – all in very good condition. A mainsail cover, and of course the fold down sprayhood – all in good condition. The jib sets on a Plastimo roller luff. A pair of heavy duty beaching legs are included which bolt on to her topsides enabling her to dry out upright when ashore, her draft is small and the area of protruding keel normally sits in the mud or soft sand making her list a very small one, if at all. All halyards and sheets etc. are included along with warps, fenders, anchor with chain and warp. Electronics are tri data – log, speed and depth. A Sestrel grid steering compass is included (very collectable) She is fitted with 2 almost new ANTAL sheet winches that cost today some 380 euros each! So there is nothing to spend. Her berth either ashore at our marina, which boasts 2 yacht clubs, a cafe/bar and 500 year old pub very close where she is now, or afloat on a swinging mooring is all paid for until April of next year! All marina services are on offer. The Seal Association is a must join – included is the builders handbook, together with other downloaded documents informing the owner of everything he or she should know about this great boat. This boat is advertised elsewhere and if sold outside this listing will be removed, but should you have any questions etc. kindly contact me via eBay normal channels, or phone/text 07909 447 735
