The oldest surviving Tornado Catamaran in the World number K2 !K2 – Tornado Catamaran – Former olympic class. Original measurement certificate ( a piece of history in itself). Original spars, beams and sails and a I think all major bits and gadgets with the exception of the trampoline which has been lost.Gold colour anodised mast.Wood rudders and possibly two sets of wood centreboards.Newer Tornado mainsail also included.Original International Tornado Class measurement form states it was measured on 15th May 1969 and shows all the handwritten measurements. Back in the day the measurer got to say a comment on the certificate and it states “Very neatly and accurately built vessel, no deviations from rule seen”K2 Tornado is 20 feet long and 10 feet wide and is made entirely of plywood.This is a great opportunity to purchase what must be a rare piece of yachting history and a great collectors item.
