Panteliaman is a
Trintella IV, a classic, 40 foot, centre cockpit, ketch rigged, long
keeled yacht, designed by ‘Van de Stadt’ and built in 1972 in the
Trintella ‘yachtwerks’ in den Bosch in the Netherlands by the famous
dutch builder Anne Weaver. She is a proper yacht, a robust
fibreglass hull built by Tyler Mouldings in the UK and then finished
off in Holland by dutch craftsmen using solid timber. She has her
original teak deck which is in good condition considering its age.
She is presently used as a ‘liveaboard’ located in Ionian Greece.

Accomodation
She has a large aft
cabin which is set up with a large double berth and aft heads
(utilising a chemical toilet), a large centre cockpit, a saloon, with
a centre table which easily seats 5, a ‘nav’ station and galley,
forward heads with sink and shower and a forward double berth. She
has a presurised water system through the boat fed by her 800 litre
main tank; the 250 litre stern tank is presently used only for the
aft deck shower. There is a webasto blown air heating system (needs
servicing), the galley has twin sinks, a 3 burner gas stove with oven
and a fridge (replaced in 2013). There is a fixed windscreen at the
forward end of the cockpit and there are 5 opening hatches, 1 with a
solar powered vent. There is loads of storage on the boat with
numerous lockers throughout the boat and also under berth stowage.
Machinery
The engine is a
Perkins 4236 (78hp) fresh water cooled with intercooler and wet
exhaust system. The engine is of unknown hours but is in very good
condition and very reliable. She has shaft drive to a 3 bladed
propellor. She has 2 x 300 litre diesel tanks and consumption is
approximately 3 litres per hour at 5 knots with a top speed of
7/8knots. There is a 24 volt electric anchor windlass with its own
battery bank charged by the engine, a 220v shore power system, a 330
amp hour 12 volt house battery bank and a 100 amp hour engine start
battery. There are 5 solar panels set up as 4 independent systems.
The steering is hydraulic and there is an emergency tiller. There is
a Hydrovane wind vane self steering system which can also function as
an emergency tiller. There are 5 x 2 speed winches, 2 for sheets in
the cockpit and 3 on the main mast and 4 single speed winches, 2 in
the cockpit and 2 on the mizzen. There are electric and manual bilge
pumps. There is a 750 watt Susuki 4 stroke generator.
Navigation Equipment
She has vhf radio, 1
fixed and 1 hand held, a depth sounder and a fish finder used as a
depth sounder, a Garmin 120 gps, a Nasa Navtex, a Geonav gps chart
plotter, an anenometer, compasses fixed and hand held and a Neco
autopilot which operates on the hydraulic steering.
Sails and Rig
The boat has a twin
headsail rig with aluminium masts and booms. She was rerigged in
2013 with new stainless steel wire, 9mm (on the main mast) and 7mm (
on the mizzen) and Staylock fittings. She comes with 2 genoas, both
on roller furlers and both in good condition (but the larger needs a
new sacrificial strip), a fully battened main and fully battened
mizzen, both in good condition and both with slab reefing sytems.
Ground Tackle
The boat has a 24volt
electric anchor windlass which controls the main anchor, a 25kg Rocna
anchor on 50metres of 10 mm chain, there is also a 30kg Bugal anchor
on the bow with 10 metres of 12mm chain and 30 metres of 16 mm rope,
a manual winch on the back deck for the kedge anchor, a 20 kg delta
pattern anchor on 10 metres of 8 mm chain and 30 metres of 16 mm
rope.
Safety Equipment
She has a liferaft
(needs service), life jackets, harnesses, horse shoe life bouy, a
throw ing line, a man overboard recovery system, an EPIRB(needs new
battery), various flares, 4 fire extinguishers, 3 smoke detectors, a
CO detector, and a fire blanket.
Other Equipment
There is a bathing
platform and boarding ladder built onto the boats stern and a
boarding ladder which can be attatched to the bow for mooring bows
to.
There is an Achilles
hypalon dinghy and 2.3 honda outboard.
There are numerous
spares, gear and tools, hand and electric.
There are cockpit
cushions, a 12v fan, oil lamp, cutlery, crockery, pans, glasses, fog
horn, radio headsets, invertor, battery charger, bosuns chair, hose
pipe, fuel and water cans, electrical cable, fenders and lots of rope
and a stainless steel bbq.
Manuals for most if not
all the gear are on board.
The boat has been
antifouled and is laid up ashore at the present time in a yard in
Greece on the island of Levkas. The engine has been serviced, the
sails stored inside and the boat covered over..
The boat has
certificate to prove that VAT has been paid in the Netherlands and at
present is registered on the UK Small Ships Register.
