Hi, This is a listing for my West Wight Potter. I believe it is a “B” class and made in the 1970s. I cannot guarantee either.I bought this vessel in December of last year as a lock down “project”. The seller said it was ready to sail so I put it on a lake and found that to be correct.I have made a number of changes to the boat:1) Added electronic including navigation lights, with the exception of the mast top light. Added a cabin lightplus phone/VHF charger2) Replaced the old mast top by scarffing in a new piece of pine as shown in one of the pictures3) Made a shorter tiller and new rudder blade (original blade and tiller included in sale)4) Replaced the pivot bolt on the galvanised steel centre plate5) Made a new pine mast as a spare (included in sale)6) Made a new rear hatch cover7) Replaced the cabin mushroom ventilator8) Painted or varnished all wooden surfaces9) Replaced standing rigging with new10) Replace some running rigging where I thought necessary11) The Windows have been replaced with good quality polycarbonateAfter the mini re-fit I tested the vessel on my local lake. After dealing with the snagging, Imoored the boat in Porthmadog Harbour and made a number of voyages in and around the estuary.I believe the boat to be in good condition for it’s age. However, I have patched the main sail. I would describe the main and the jib as “useable”, although there is a batten missing from the main.I have had a lot of fun sailing the boat and spent a number of comfortable nights onboard. However,it’s time for me to move on to something a little bigger. The outboard and oars shown in the picture of me sailing the boat are not included in the sale. The compass shown in some pictures is notincluded in the sale.
