‘Happy Wanderer’ is a one off 1981 Westerly Griffon (Launched in 1983) which has had 2 previous owners and has been very much lovingly improved by her last 2 owners. The last owner owned her for 11 years after her loving first owner steadily improved her from launch….She has a lovely and different lay-out compared to most of them with a very useful chart table with space for a 6ft Adult saloon seat & bunk, with a good foot position underneath the chart table for sleeping. So this makes her unique and beautiful with her 2 wooden posts that you are presented with, when coming down through the hatch. She is now up & running but does still require her 2019 Spring Spring Clean, and pressure wash etc.. which is planned to be carried out in early February/March 2019 (Before or After an agreed deal). The extra cosmetic works (You can see in the photo’s etc..) still required we see being done over the next 1-2 seasons, from when you start to use her from this season in 2019. Her extensive but main inventory includes the following for you:A 2019 serviced and well maintained Yanmar 2GM Inboard with a internal fuel tank.A set of good sails that fit and work well. (The Battens are available & in good shape) A food quality Furlex Geneo Furler is professionally fitted in 2004.2 Self-Tailing Winches for the Geneo in the cockpit.Mainsail Stackpack (With a Zip etc..) and Lazy Lines included for the mainsail. There is a good and working manual windlass for the excellent 10m of anchor chain. There is an excellently fitted manual water pump fitted in the anchor locker with a stopcock outlet low on the Port hull. Working and perfectly acceptable halyards with new rigging are all fitted.Clean crack & leak free GRP decks.2 Main & brand new large batteries both protected by dead man switches for house and engine batteries.Dry down below/cabin everywhere with no wet patches or drips found after 2-3 very wet days in the last month or so…Many working lights in all cabins and saloons. Working Furuno Radar with Aerial screwed to the mast.Working Lowrence Colour Chatplotter underneath the Spray hood for easy viewing while sailing. Philips GPS Navigator at the chart table. – (This may well require the instruction manual now!) A working digital depth Sounder at the chart table. Speed Log in the cockpit with a free wheel and fitted wheel on the hull. Wind direction & speed indicator in the cockpit.A supply is available for a new VHF to fitted at the chart table but this is yet to be done.Fittings & sockets are also available & working for an independent tiller Autohelm to be fitted in the teak deck cockpit.4 Berths – (Which can be for for 4 Adults & 1 child in the small Saloon berth on the Starboard side). A good Galley with 2 sinks (with a foot hand pump), gimbaled gas cooker, with good places for cutlery, cups and plates etc..1 Good sized hanging locker for food, bags, life jackets & coats etc… 1 Working separate heads with a working separate sink with had pump for both. She has a very useful ‘all in one’ canapy which covers her cockpit which you can see from the photo’s, which is very useful for extra space & winter storage. She has a very good Sprayhood which you can also see from the photo’s.She has an available life-raft that comes with her but this will require a service now and the original year is unknown at the moment. She has a rope cutter fitted to her 2 blade propeller which is all ready go.Lots of little improvements have been made by her previous owners and you will find these when you start investigating in each & every locker! Her keel bolts are in good shape. Her hull beneath the waterline is very smooth and completely osmosis free. Many spare parts on-board etc… all of which are included in the sale. Many fenders, Lines, Boat Hook etc..She is indeed a perfect starter/2nd yacht for a couple or family, which has done both previous owners well, both sailing long & short cruises. She is berthed in Wareham, Dorset and has is currently being tidied up by ourselves at the moment for her imminent sale in the coming month/s.. In short if you would like her stay in Dorset please contact us sooner rather than later or if you would like to see her in Cornwall (Or that way) and we are very happy to help with the transport plans etc.. because this is all-ready booked in to be moved in early March, unless otherwise instructed. If you would like to take her anywhere else, we can of course get a good quote from the independent lorry driver for you..Just so you know her current hard standing berth in Wareham costs £29.50@ week including all electricity if you need to use it at all and this will be paid for until she is transported in early March, if not before. We hope this all helps and now of course welcome all serious inquiries, viewing request and/or initial offers with interest….HENRY’s MOB NO: (0044) 7766086542 – (Call, Text, or Whatsapp us for this great yacht)
