Westerly Konsort 29ft sailing / motor / cruising yacht 1979.
SY Konsortina is fully equipped and ready to sail away.
6-Berth, comprising double bunk in the forepeak, double and single bunk in the main cabin and a single bunk in the aft.
Currently located in Falmouth area,
SY Konsortina was purchased by ourselves in March this year for a 6-month round the country adventure, but unfortunately due to a change in personal circumstance we are sadly unable to continue our journey.
In the 2 months we have owned and sailed her, she has been thoroughly cleaned and brought up to a good mechanical standard.
SY Konsortina sails well under her full sail suite of full battened slab reefed main and furling headsail, cruising easily even in light breeze. The almost brand new engine (160 Hours in 3 years) has enough grunt to motor her alone or top up the boat speed whilst motor sailing. Fuel consumption is around 1 litre per hour.
Viewing is most welcome (and encouraged) as are any questions.
Payment is via bank transfer or cash on collection please.

Improvements that would benefit SY Konsortina:
Winches could benefit from being fully serviced, they are in excellent condition considering age so just springs and pawls and a clean and grease up
Top Mast light electrical supply issue being resolved, so they work
Furler is stiff, this could be a slightly wrapped halyard
As with all Westerlies of this vintage, the head linings have begun to sag. There is a roll of headlining material included in the sale
Wet hanging locker sink tap seeps water (spare seal kit onboard)
The Garmin GPS is dated (fully functional) but could do with updating
Webasto Top 2000 heating system needs work
In short, a great season-ready yacht and with a little time and TLC she will sail for many years. SY Konsortina was bought by us as there was no major work to be carried out. We believe she is a great example of this Konsort model, and would be an excellent example with the improvements listed above.
We are sad to part with her but personal circumstances force our hand.
We look forward to any question you may have, which we or our boat contact/delivery skipper in Falmouth can answer.
Happy sailing!
Paula and Gerry
