It’s with regret that I am selling Sea Jade as a project. I bought her on the understanding that she just needed a good tart up. It turns out she needs a replacement engine, which I just cannot afford to do. The original Volvo Penta 2001 may be rebuildable, but would need an injector, gaskets etc.The running rigging has all been replaced and the standing rigging is in good condition. The mast was removed for transport and is on the rack at the club, ready to re-fit.The deck paint has started to flake. I have scrapped most of it off, ready to repaint. The hull itself just needs a good jetwash to remove the green.Inside is in pretty good order, with two replacement batteries ready to fit. VHF depth, speed and wind gauges all appear to work ok. Toilet, cooker etc, all ready to go.The tiller was rotten but I have a new one almost ready. It just needs sanding and varnish.I have a stack pack, hood and dodgers for her. Not the best but a run along a sewing machine will see some more use out of them yet.The sails are in good order and stored at home in the dry. I’ll put them on board ready.Other than the engine and the deck paint she is almost ready to drop in the splosh. The club has a boat lifter available so she can be put on your trailer to take her away if you wish, or maybe join the club. She is at Ashlett Creek on the hard standing at the moment so easy to view.Maker me an offer? I know I’m going to lose out but I’d rather she went to someone who can get her in the water again than just leave her ashore.I’m planning on going back to a sailing dinghy, Wayfarer/Wanderer again.
