It is with a heavy heart that we are listing our much loved wooden sailing yacht located in the Norfolk broads. We have owned her a much shorter time than we would like and this sale comes due to the birth of our first daughter which makes owning the boat simply not practical especially once our daughter begins to become a toddler. We have included a link to the brokers page below feel free to communicate with them or with us. https://www.topsail.co.uk/boat.php?refnum=2542This traditional Broads yacht simply oozes with character and period features! Offering spacious accommodation for two in her light and well appointed cabin, she also has a further two berths in her superb forepeak (children’s cave!) which has to be one of the best on the Broads! She has been a much loved and well looked after vessel. In previous ownership she was professionally maintained each winter with little regard to cost and benefited from numerous upgrades and improvements over the years, including a new inboard diesel engine in 2006, new overall cover in 2020 and recently installed cabin heating enabling her to be better enjoyed early and late in the season. She has benefitted from a recent survey by her current owners, who expecting to own her longer, have have remedied all Category B work from the 2022 survey along with a full repaint of the hull (blue below the waterline) and topsides (now white). Now reluctantly for sale again after only a short period of ownership after a recent addition to the family and the need for something more suitable for very small children.A lovely Broads yacht for a couple or family, and a great example of the era!General SpecificationBuilder : Herbert WoodsLOD : 8.53m (28ft 0in)Beam : 2.59m (8ft 6in)Draft : 0.99m (3ft 3in)Air Draft : 2.13m (7ft 0in)Keel : FinConstructionWood carvel constructionLifting cabin roofNew stainless steel rudder 2017New Samson post 2012New decks 2008Wintered ashore annuallyLast surveyed 2022 (See attached report below)Rigging & SailsBermudan Sloop rigWood mast/sparsJib pole2 x Harken sheet winches2 x Mainsails (one newer, approx 2020, Jeckells.
