Copernicus ashore for maintenance and now for sale. Lying in Mistley.Built in Lowestoft at Chambers’ Yard in 1922 (cf Ted Frost’s book from “Tree to Sea”).She has a typical Colin Archer hull (for more information please google Colin Archer, nineteenth century Norwegian designer). Length, approximately thirty-four feet on deck, beam eight feet. Draught three feet. Copper plated below the waterline -we have never bought anti-foul for her. The hull is constructed of double-diagonal oak with a teak carvel finish. On board toilet, galley, standing head room in the saloon, very roomy. Four berths. Deck is fully sheathed for low maintenance. Large cockpit, about ten feet by eight.Maintenance and re-fit now largely complete for re-launch. This is for canal and inland river use -to get under bridges- as well as seagoing capability and easy mast-head repairs. We have had Copernicus nearly twenty years and will be in the same boat yard for any advice after purchase.Ready for inspection or survey.
