Bluebell, previously known as Sweet Pea, is a 1990 Bluewater 25. She is a gaff rigged, traditionally styled, steel cutter, built-in 1990 by LSC Yachts. She truly is a ‘proper little ship’ and a real head-turner, capable of exploring the world. Her Hull is 3mm plate and the skeg 5mm sides with a 10mm bottom. Her deck length is 25’, her waterline length 21’ and her overall length is 38’. Total sail area 500 sq.ft. She has a beam of 9’10” and a draft of 4’1”. She weighs approximately 4.5 tonnes. Her hull is chine construction, made up of three strakes, all 3mm plate. There are 25mm pipes at the chines and 50mm pipe at the stem. She is fitted with a new Beta engine costing over £3000,-.Down below there is a warm cosy cabin fitted out in wood with beautiful brass ports and a skylight, providing plenty of light. There is spacious accommodation for four people. She has a double cabin foreword, separate heads with sea toilet and hand basin. In the traditional saloon, there are two further berths, a gimballed oven with two rings and a grill, a spacious valley area, a centre table and a chart table. Her cabin is presently in a very dishevelled state as very sadly, she was purchased just before Covid, so what with a change of professional life, finances and time I have never been able to give her the T.L.C. She needs. This is a salvage or project boat. Upon completion, the world is your oyster as she has been designed not only to be seaworthy but also ‘ocean-worthy’.She is currently out of the water at Gillingham in Kent.
